We have had a great time in the Annexe last week!
During the week we have seen the children building up their imagination with some early moments of make believe. The children really enjoy exploring the technology toys and one little boy even held a toy phone up to his ear and had lots of smiles!
Imaginative play continued this week when the children all took turns with some baby role play. The children came over to the babies who were in a bath of warm soapy water and all pretended to give their babies a good wash.
Finally we have seen continued interest in small world toys such as the cars, trains and of course the animals continue to be a big favourite of all the children. This is a great chance to build those early noises and words. Children learn first what noise an animal makes and then to say its name!
Busy Birds have had an amazing week!
We have seen lots of happy little faces this week especially when enjoying the sunshine! In the garden some of our little busy birds have been loving playing with the bigger children in Pre-School, the big children love to take care of them and all of our little birds really enjoy the attention.

Busy Birds have also continued to develop an interest in stories and we have seen lots of our little birds sitting and spending a good portion of time looking through all their favourite books.
What a great week we have had in Pre-School!
Last week we really enjoyed the fleeting sunshine, this has meant lot's of happy faces running around the garden!
During our time outside the children had a so much fun doing some jumping and balancing in an obstacle course. Kassady laid out the hula hoops and the children had to take turns jumping from one hoop to another. This was a great chance for the children to build up those core muscles.
While in the garden the children also had a blast playing games such as hide and seek, we did see some very creative hiding spots, one little girl hit in a stack of tires. This is a good chance for the children to build up their counting knowledge and also practice taking turns
